This year, we want to provide information about volunteer opportunities. We, as a congregation, do a great job of sharing our wealth through grants and donations to various causes, and we have a good number of people who share their time, talents and hearts as well. This is something we are very grateful for, as those actions help to fulfill our promise as a Matthew 25 congregation.
There is no doubt that in this stressful time, we as Christians are being called upon to act out our faith even more energetically. Walking with others in times of difficulty is deeply important and that is part of the Mission of the Justice Ministry.
We are going to select one focus for congregational support every few months this year. There will be suggestions for books to read if you want to learn more, opportunities for learning together, and suggestions for volunteering if you want to share some of your time, both long term and short term. Consider that time to be part of your pledge to Forest Hill to support the strength of the community.
