In 2024, one of the Justice Ministry Community Grants was given to Christy Lafferty for her work in Nicaragua with AMOS. The video below shows photos of her work with a variety of groups bringing health care and clean water systems to villages.
An important part of ministry with IM and AMOS is being able to track the activities that we are doing and understand the impact of our work.
With the help of mission teams, long-term volunteers, and with your support, we were able to accomplish the following in 2024:
- Provided clean water to 171 families through in-home water filters
- Facilitated mission experiences for 226 people in 15 mission teams
- Installed a solar panel electrical system in a community clinic in a rural village
- Provided quality health care to over 300 vulnerable patients through home visits and health fairs
- More than 640 children learned about God’s love for them and good hygiene practices through VBS activities
- 55 mothers and fathers participated in nutrition education and cooking demonstrations that can help them offer healthy options to their children with ingredients they can find in their communities
