Camp Lilac, summer camp for trans youth, has been providing a safe space for transgender and gender-divergent youth to meet each other, freely be themselves, and enjoy the fun of an overnight summer camp every year since 2017. A member of Forest Hill Church is a co-founder (Ann Williams), and our church has provided support for Camp Lilac from the beginning.
This summer, the first week-long session begins on July 20, with a second session beginning July 27. About 150 teens from across the country will meet in Ohio, along with more than 50 staff members, almost all of whom are themselves transgender or gender-diverse.
