FHC Supports LGBTQIA+
With Christ as our example, FHC welcomes all persons into our community of faith regardless of their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, or socio-economic status.
Forest Hill Church is designated as a “More Light Presbyterians” church by PC(USA).
Members of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church believe that living in the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ is the perfect example of how we are to live our lives every day. Jesus sought out the poor and sick, those rejected by society and the church, outcasts, racial adversaries, and those considered to be sinners. Jesus taught that every man, woman, and child is beloved by God. He modeled how to love all people.
We offer a true community of hospitality to, and full participation of, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) people.

FHC Supports Camp Lilac
One of Forest Hill Church’s active and caring members put her faith into action as a co-founder of Camp Lilac in Ohio. It is a summer camp for transgender and gender-diverse youth. Trans youth often face stressful, unwelcoming, and even hostile environments in their day-to-day lives, and rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide are higher among them. Since 2017, Camp Lilac has been creating a safe, welcoming, and confidential place in which gender diversity is the norm. This program is designed so that campers emerge with an increased sense of confidence in their identities and a strong community of peers and supporters.
Profits from the sale of homemade jewelry and low-sugar jams and jellies help support the Camp. For more information about how you can support Camp Lilac, contact Ann.
We believe Camp Lilac fills a crucial gap in the lives of trans and gender-diverse youth setting them on a path to successful living.
No matter where you are on your faith journey, you’ll be welcomed at Forest Hill as a beloved child of God.
Whether you are certain of your beliefs or full of doubt, curious about Christianity or looking for a place to belong and serve, there’s a place for you at Forest Hill church.
