We accomplish this by igniting the prophetic witness of our ministry partners and by cultivating relationships rooted in mutual accountability and care. Together, we journey toward God’s promised liberation and flourishing for all creation.
Jesus taught that every person is beloved by God. Jesus modeled love through his actions and words. Following Him, Forest Hill Church has full acceptance and participation of LGBTQIA+ people in all aspects of the church’s worship, leadership, and mission.

FHC Supports Camp Lilac
One of Forest Hill Church’s active and caring members put her faith into action as a co-founder of Camp Lilac in Ohio. It is a summer camp for transgender and gender-diverse youth. Trans youth often face stressful, unwelcoming, and even hostile environments in their day-to-day lives, and rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide are higher among them. Since 2017, Camp Lilac has been creating a safe, welcoming, and confidential place in which gender diversity is the norm. This program is designed so that campers emerge with an increased sense of confidence in their identities and a strong community of peers and supporters.
