About The Event

Training for ongoing organizing against ICE and working for peace and justice in Palestine

Join the training on Sunday, December 7, 1:00-4:00pm to develop tools and frameworks that will help us respond in courage during this historical moment, “discerning the times” as we are called to do (Matthew 16:3). The training will be led by Mennonite Action volunteers who are traveling across the US on a Build Our Courage tour. The event will include trainings on noncooperation, grassroots organizing, and mutual aid, in addition to spending time worshiping in prayer and song and of course a meal together somewhere in there too.

The training will leave you with a better understanding of how we can work together to: organize against ICE, work for peace and justice in Palestine and resist genocide and an authoritarian takeover.

Mennonite Action is a movement of Mennonites, Christians, and friends following in the example of Jesus Christ, who called us to live as active peacemakers, standing firmly on the side of the downtrodden and the oppressed. Mennonite Action formed in November 2023 and since then has organized and led public action against the occupation of Palestine. Activities they have organized include a 135-mile “All God’s Children March for a Ceasefire” to DC, “Send Aid not Bombs” campaign, and virtual meetings of people across the country to educate, strategize and pray.
