About The Event

We will meet to prepare Shepherd’s Pie Casserole to feed approximately 75 guests who attend worship at North Church and enjoy a community meal following the service. Please contact Sue Lafferty to receive your food contribution to bring for our cooking.

If you can’t attend on October 24 or don’t have time to shop for food, we would also appreciate donations to help purchase ingredients.

For anyone interested in volunteering to help cook and/or serve at Forest Hill’s monthly Labre meals at North Church in the future, please contact Jack Breisch in order to be included in the monthly Sign Up Genius emails. New volunteers are warmly welcomed!

What is Labre Ministry? Labre is an ongoing ministry at Forest Hill Church named after 18th century Frenchman St. Joseph Labre, patron saint of homeless persons. Forest Hill joins other churches in our Presbytery in this ministry. On the last Sunday of each month, Forest Hill volunteers join with the community of worshippers and neighbors at North Church to worship and share a meal prepared by Forest Hill members. North Presbyterian Church, formerly located in an historic building at Euclid and East 40th Street, has a light-filled worship space and a large community room in the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries building, just a few blocks from the original church. Many of the men and women who worship there are experiencing deep poverty and homelessness.
