FutureHeights: Crowdsourced Conversation

About The Event

Shaping the Future of Cleveland Heights Through Arts and Culture

Join FutureHeights and the Cleveland Heights Arts Commission on Thursday, October 22, from 6:30–8 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at Forest Hill Church for a Crowdsourced Conversation, a community discussion about the role of arts and culture in Cleveland Heights. Share what you value, what you’d like to see more of, and how creative experiences, spaces, and traditions can help shape the city’s future.

Ideas gathered from this survey and the October 22 gathering will help inform the Arts Commission’s priorities and future work with the City. All are welcome to participate, whether you’re an artist, arts worker, audience member, or simply believe the arts matter. When we say, “arts and culture,” we are including all forms of creative expression: visual, filmmaking, dance, theater, comedy, music, design (fashion/hair), literary arts, and others.

Cleveland Heights City Council enacted legislation to form an Arts Commission in 2024 to advise the Mayor and Council on arts policies, programs, and projects to help facilitate improved funding, creation and enjoyment of the arts in the city. The Arts Commission comprises 11 members who are Cleveland Heights residents. Commission members were seated and began their work in March 2026.
