Come again and join Forest Hill Church’s Racial Repair and Reparations Task Force on Sunday, November 12, after church in South Hall, as we continue the journey toward Repair.
What is Repair?
How is it accomplished?
Since slavery, each generation has had to grapple with eradicating racism. On the 12th, we shall share our proposal for this church’s generational response.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. famously referred to a dream of his. Sixty years later that dream has yet to be fulfilled. A few weeks ago, we learned or were reminded of the role our church played as participants in maintaining segregation in Cleveland Heights. We also learned of the bold and creative steps our church took during the 1970’s to address our complicity with racism and segregation.
We hope you will return for Part 2. There will be a question and answer period after the presentation.
Food will be served and child care will be provided.
