About The Event
Our Racial Equity partner, The Community Church of Chesterland, will host a Saturday afternoon movie The Best of Enemies on September 30. Doors open at 3:30pm and movie begins promptly at 4pm. It is based on the book The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South by Osha Gray Davidson, a true life drama that occurred in Durham, North Carolina, in 1971. This movie speaks to the heart of the concept of racial equity buddies — diverse people meeting and changing racist institutions.
Pizza, fried chicken wings, pastry, vegan food, fruit salad, tea, and coffee will be served. For planning purposes, please respond if you plan to attend.
